Join Chairman of the Garden Conservancy, Ben Lenhardt, as he shares a brief history of gardens and their functions, and explains what the Garden Conservancy is currently doing to save and share outstanding American gardens. A long time avid gardener, Ben retired in 2003 as chairman and CEO of Americas-UBS Asset Management and member of the UBS AG Group Managing Board. He joined the board of directors of the Garden Conservancy in December 2004, becoming Vice-Chairman of the board in 2007 and Chairman in 2011. His focus on garden preservation combines his interests in gardening and architecture including involvement with historic Drayton Hall and preservation projects within the iconic antebellum city of Charleston.
