Located on Otter Point Creek, this 600+ acre portion of the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve offers public programs including canoeing, nature hikes, and children's activities. Free Admission.

Naturalist led canoe and kayak trips, by registration only. Kayaks and canoes included with registration fee. Check website for calendar of events.

Invasinators

Become a part of the volunteer team of invasive plant removers and native plant restorers. Learn why non-native invasive plants are a threat to our ecosystem, how to identify problem plants, and removal and restoration strategies. Wear sturdy shoes, long sleeves, and work gloves for field work in the Reserve each meeting date. This program is for ages 14 to adult.

Halloween Hike and Campfire

Spend a spooky evening at the park hiking through the woods to discover the creatures of Halloween. Meet these real “scary” critters up close and listen to their tales spun by Halloween characters. After the hike, enjoy music and roasted marshmallows down by our cozy campfire. Registration required in advance – payment at door. Pre-register for ½ hour time slots to begin hike. Allow 1 hour for hike and campfire. This program is for any age able to handle a slightly spooky ¾ mile hike in the woods at night.
