Located on Otter Point Creek, this 600+ acre portion of the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve offers public programs including canoeing, nature hikes, and children's activities. Free Admission.

Naturalist led canoe and kayak trips, by registration only. Kayaks and canoes included with registration fee. Check website for calendar of events.

28th Annual Marsh Clean-Up
Bosely Conservancy
Join members of the Izaak Walton League and volunteers with Harford County Parks & Recreation and the Chesapeake Bay Reserve to keep our marsh beautiful! Help us clean up the beautiful Otter Point Creek Marsh - part of the Winters Run Watershed. Wear old shoes/boots and gloves. Drinks are provided for the event. Rain or shine. Participants meet at the end of Perry Ave., 2601 Perry Ave, Edgewood, at the entrance to the Bosely Conservancy. Scout troops and other groups are welcome. Volunteer hours for your school or organization are documented. Great for community service credit. Call for directions or visit www.otterpointcreek.org. This program is for ages 8 to adult, under 13 with adult.

The Mystery of John Smith's Chesapeake Cross Markers

Captain John Smith, on his 1612 map of the Chesapeake Bay, marked the extent of his explorations with 27 "Maltese" crosses. Ed Haile and Connie Lapallo, with the Chesapeake Conservancy, have embarked on a project to pinpoint and mark the cross locations in today's landscape for "modern day adventurers". Please join us for a fascinating afternoon of discovery as poet/ author/historians Ed and Connie weave a tale of exploration, geography, research, cartography, and Chesapeake mystery. This program is for ages 13 to adult. This program is free, but donations are welcome.

What animals have been lurking in the Bosely woods? The wildlife cameras will tell us. To help retrieve the cameras, meet us at Bosely at 10:30 am. Marsh Bloom Time Monitoring
Anita C. Leight Estuary Center
We seek to train and schedule volunteers to assist with the Marsh Plant Phenology Monitoring Trail. Learn how tracking the timing of life stages of plants helps us study climate change effects, using world-wide databases. Volunteers must be able to safely and comfortably paddle a canoe—all monitoring is from a boat. A monitoring schedule will be created at the time of the training. This program is for adults.
