Fishing

April is a great month to fish for trout, especially in some of the marginal areas that become too warm during the summer months.  Much of the fishing in the upper Bay is focused on catfish and white perch.

Spend a relaxing day surrounded by nature and you will be the one hooked. Large and small bodies of water in Harford County support an abundance of fish species. These species include hickory shad, alewife herring, white and yellow perch, smallmouth bass, trout, rockfish, snakehead and others.

Harford County is also part of Maryland’s Fly Fishing Trail, as Deer Creek offers fly fishers three seasons of three very different fly fishing experiences.
